Modula Clean Room: Automated Storage Built for Clean Room Environments

Precision storage for Clean Rooms

Operating in a clean room entails an additional level of responsibility. If your work demands tight control over airborne particles, to protect your products, your processes, or your people, Modula Clean Room is the system designed for exactly that environment.

Built to minimise the introduction, generation, and retention of specific particles, it functions within the clean room itself without compromising the integrity of the space.

If your organisation works in semiconductors, hospital equipment, chemicals, electronics, or pharmaceuticals, you’re already familiar with the compliance requirements that govern how materials are stored. Modula Clean Room is designed with those requirements as a starting point, not an afterthought.

How it keeps particle counts down

Controlling airborne contamination isn’t passive, it requires a system that actively works against it.

Modula Clean Room addresses this on two fronts: reducing the particles the warehouse itself introduces during operation, and minimising dust deposits that accumulate on the unit’s surfaces over time.

Whether you’re storing sterile surgical instruments or dust-sensitive semiconductor components, Modula Clean Room operates under conditions that comply with ISO 14644, and can meet classes 6, 7, and 8.

In practical terms, the system:

  • operates fully within the clean room environment
  • maintains the existing room classification without degradation
  • controls the concentration of airborne particles
  • prevents contamination of stored materials
  • limits dust generated by the unit during normal operation
  • reduces surface dust accumulation on the warehouse itself

What’s inside

Like all Modula Lift systems, the Clean Room variant is built around three core components: a robust structural frame that houses and supports the trays; a motorised central elevator that retrieves trays and brings them to operator height; and one or more operator bays for picking and replenishment.

The unit can reach up to 16 metres in height, with a gross unit payload capacity of up to 90,000 kg.
